How is it going friends! I am sure that there have been some great moments and some challenging moments since we finished our corporate fast.
I want to encourage you to stay focused on what the Lord is doing in your life. If you took time to journal during your fast, I would encourage you to revisit those entries. Another thing that might be helpful, is looking back at the blogs. There might have been a few of them that God used to speak into your life or they might speak to you today. Don't let the enemy convince you that nothing is different or that you might as well just be okay with where you are, there isn't going to be any breakthrough in your life.
We stand on the Word of God and know that when we break things in Jesus' name, they are broken. Jesus tells us this in Matthew 18:18-20, "I tell you the truth, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. 19 "Again, I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven. 20 For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them."
Remember that there is an exponential power to prayer, so if you are struggling, call a few brothers or sisters to pray and agree with you for God's Spirit to be loosed in that place of your life.
The enemy does not want you to move forward in the things God has for you, so he will throw every obstacle he can at you. In the book of Luke, Jesus had these different people come up and tell him they wanted to follow him and then they give Jesus all these excuses why they couldn't do it right then. In verse 62, Jesus says, "Anyone who puts a hand to the plow and then looks back is not fit for the Kingdom of God." You hear this and think, "Isn't that a bit harsh for Jesus to say?"
What he is saying, "You cannot serve yourself and God at the same time." You cannot serve the purposes of God and your own purposes too. So don't look back, keep pressing forward in the things of God.
Jesus has stepped into your life and called you to himself, do not let any circumstances, attitudes or obstacles keep you from His purposes and calling on your life.
Psalm 34:7-9, "7 God's angel sets up a circle of protection around us while we pray. 8 Open your mouth and taste, open your eyes and see - how good God is. Blessed are you who run to him.
9 Worship God if you want the best; worship opens doors to all his goodness."
I think back to one of our first keychain memory verses, "Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they will be filled."
Be filled with the power of the Holy Spirit as you walk through each day, not in the flesh but in the spirit.
Still hungering and thirsting for righteousness, PC & Ishtar
